About Kristin
Kristin Butke-Zagorski was born in Akron Ohio and began Irish dancing at age 4.  She trained under the 2-time World Champion, Tim O'Hare for 20 years.  As a competitive Irish dancer, Kristin Butke achieved 8 World Championship medals, including 2 bronze medals. Kristin's unprecedented, lifelong accomplishments include 7 Regional titles from 1984-2001, being one of the first female Americans to medal at the All Ireland Championships in 1992, winning the Senior Ladies North American title in 2001, capturing the World Championship bronze medal in 1997 and 2002, earning her teaching certificate in 2002, coaching a World Championship medalist in 2004, and receiving her adjudication certificate in 2007.  Kristin also performed as a lead dancer in Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames 1997-2000
Upon passing her TCRG* in the fall of 2002, Kristin opened her own school in Nashville TN, and in 2004, opened a branch in Edmond OK.  In 2007, Kristin passed her ADCRG* exam and began judging competitions.  Kristin married LT Steve Zagorski, USN on February 15, 2004, and they currently reside in Virginia with their son Aidan.
